Ingredients:

  1. Ripe tomatoes - 2 [roughly chopped]
  2. Jaggery/Sugar -  3tbsp
  3. mustard oil 1 tbsp
  4. crushed peeper 2 tbsp / green chilli 2
  5. pinch of turmeric
  6. salt as per taste
  7. 1 tsp each of mustard seeds, cumin seeds, kal jeera, fennel seeds
  8. 1/2 tsp each of cardamon / cinnamon powder [optional]
  9.  1 baby potato boiled [optional]

Cooking procedure:

Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, kal jeera, fennel seeds. Once mustard seeds starts to splutter add tomatoes, turmeric and salt. Cover and cook until the tomatoes are 100% cooked , add a little bit of water if needed. Smash the boiled potato and add it to the mixture. Add jagery/sugar and crushed peeper / chillies. Cover and cook until everything is properly cooked - taste to see if salt is alright. Add Cardamon / cinnamon powder. Garnish with hot phulkas, luchi, roti or naan.
